Chapter Recruitment
Find Your Family Away From Home
Being a student at NYU can be rough. With over 26,000 undergraduates, it can be hard to find a community of like-minded individuals. Every sister of our chapter can attest that going Greek eliminates this concern. By going Greek, and going Kappa, we each have found a sisterhood that will last a lifetime.
Kappa Kappa Gamma participates in Formal Recruitment with the 6 other Panhellenic organizations on campus every fall semester. Throughout the week, various Potential New Members will meet with each organization and find the one that is right for them. Though the process is long, Recruitment provides the chance to meet hundreds of amazing girls, no matter their final sorority on Bid Day.
If you are hesitant about going Greek or are unsure if sorority life is for you, check out the statistics below:
- All but 2 US Presidents since 1825 have been fraternity members
- 63% of all US cabinet members since 1900 have been Greek
- The all-fraternity and all-sorority GPA is higher than the overall college GPA
- Less than 2% of an average college student’s expenses go towards Greek membership dues
- Greeks raise more than $7 million each year for philanthropies
Being a sister of Kappa Kappa Gamma means having endless opportunities in leadership, academics, philanthropy, and true friendship. With a network of over 250,000 initiated members, the sisterhood of Kappa Kappa Gamma lasts far beyond the four years of undergraduate life. We hope that you will join us during Recruitment, and see first hand how amazing Kappa can be!
